26 weeks

i think i popped a little...my tummy, that is. These were taken at 26 weeks complete. i kept complaining that my tummy wasn't growing and then over the weekend when norman and i were at the Red Lion i looked at myself in the huge closet/mirror and was like...hmm...that's new. as in my belly being that large. i don't mind it, though. I can tell more and more by how my belly button looks. you can tell it's becoming more and more strained. although i've always had a pretty deep belly button so it's not close to poppin out yet...don't know if it even will. which i also don't mind. i carry pretty low so i still don't mind those ninja moves he's been doing in there because they've stayed clear of my ribcage. for now. :)

i have a doctors appointment this friday. pretty sure it's gonna be the "drink that orange drink" appointment everyone tells you is so bad. not too worried about it....there are worse things. i'm pretty sure i've had some braxton hicks contractions, though. i'm not positive though cause...well..i've never been pregnant. i asked my mom the other day what contractions felt like and she shot me a worried glance... {my sister had her twins at 27 weeks, and my aunt had my cousin at 26, so we're a tiny paranoid in our fam}...she asked why i was asking and i told her that sometimes my uterus gets really hard and it's a little unpleasant. it doesn't hurt, but just doesn't feel normal. and it's not all the time or even very often. i always chalked it up to my baby just pushing against my tummy, but....then i wondered. so that's what i'll be asking at my appointment this weekend.

this is the last week of my second trimester. i realized it yesterday and was almost a little sad! it's going by so fast and although i'm so excited for my sweet boy to be here, and although i haven't really enjoyed being pregnant, per say, it's still a little sad that it's going by so fast. plus, i'm nervous for that whole labor and delivery part....hmm.

in other news...norman and i found a new apartment! we are so excited. we'll be moving in early january. which kind of sucks...moving in the winter. i'm just anxious to get back into a 2 bedroom apartment where we can start preparing a little better for baby boy blue to get here. and we have a 2 car garage!! how much does that rock? a lot, i tell you. a lot. plus, our new apartments are in a really convenient spot. a couple blocks from the mall area where everything is. and right next door to the paramount dollar theater....yessssss. with norman and i sharing a vehicle and him being at school all day...things get a little boring being stuck at home....with no windows. did i mention there are no windows in my current apartment? ;) but where our new place is...there will be lots to do and lots of windows! can't wait.

speaking of norman. who is he? i've never heard of him....oh wait....that's because finals week has consumed his every minute. he goes to school around 7 am and doesn't get home til around 10 pm. it's pretty rad.....going to be excited for this week to be over and have two relaxing, stress-free weeks with my boy. he's even more excited.

anyway, that's that. i hope everyone is ready for christmas which is a week from today! where the heck did this year go? no idea.....but i love christmas. it's going to be a good one this year with my cute parents being home. missed them last year.

happy holidays friends!

  3. Whoa! That's crazy. I never had one Braxton with June let alone feeling anything remotly close to labor in my second tri! Hopefully it all goes well! Maybe we should have your baby shower sooner than February haha... Anyway, you totally popped out! You look adorable!! I love you. You'll make it trough finals. Next year you'll have this sweet babe to keep you distracted during finals and it won't be as bad. Keep me updated on the doc appointment.
